Non-ionic Polyacrylamide (NPAM)

LYNXWATER NPAM are technically pure polyacrylamides. NPAM exhibits neutral nonionic properties in the aqueous solution which is hardly influenced by the PH value in the application. LYNXWATER NPAM are suitable for use as a settlement aid in many different mineral-processing applications and are particularly effective under very low PH conditions, as encountered in acidic leach operations.

Features: Slight hydrolysis, stable performance, little influence by pH and water temperature.
Application: Nonionic Flocculants is widely used in industrial wastewater treatment, mineral process,

paper making and other industries.

2.3.2 Dosage and Feeding of Dry NPAM

The solutions of LYNXWATER NPAM must be prepared in suitable plants equipped with dry powders feeding and dispersion units and with continuous and moderate agitation. The dissolution water must have a temperature included between 10°C and 40°C; For a correct use of LYNXWATER NPAM and in order to achieve the best possible results, it is necessary to allow a “maturation” time of 60 minutes. When treating turbid water, the flocculants solution must be added to the water in a point of average turbulence, in order to achieve a thorough and homogeneous mixing without impairing the flock formation. Recommend operating concentration is 3g/l, and the maximum operating concentration is 15g/l. 2.3.3 Instructions

  • Preparation Products Solution

Powder polyacrylamide flocculants couldn’t be directly feed to the sewage. It is necessary to dissolve it in water first and then use its water solution to treat the sewage. The water to dissolve the granular polymer should be clean (such as tap water), rather than sewage. The water at the normal temperature is workable, no need to be heated. When the water temperature is less than 5oC, the dissolution is very slow. The speed of dissolution will be increased along with water temperature get higher, but if it is more than 40oC, the degradation of the polymer will be accelerated.

  • Nonionic Flocculants for Mineral Processing

LYNXWATER nonionic flocculants with high or very high molecular weight could be used in sedimentation or centrifugation, with good performance and cost efficiency.
